Dong Mingzhu’s eight-year "Biography of Building a Car": ups and downs, and now it is rekindled

In 2024, the "new gambling game" between Lei Jun and Dong Mingzhu once again ushered in the acceptance moment.

Dong Mingzhu took another step forward in building cars.

Enterprise investigation shows that on October 11th, Shanghai Gree Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. was incorporated, and its legal representative is Zhong Chengbao. At present, he is the assistant to the president of Zhuhai () Co., Ltd. and the general manager of Zhuhai Gree Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd.. The company has a registered capital of 20 million yuan, and its business scope includes research and development of auto parts, manufacturing of auto parts and accessories, manufacturing of industrial robots, and sales of industrial robots.

According to the equity penetration chart, Shanghai Gree Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. is jointly owned by Shanghai Jieyingtu New Material Technology Co., Ltd. and Zhuhai Gree Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. under Gree Electric. This move is regarded by the market as Gree once again overweight the layout of new energy car tracks.

In 2016, after Dong Mingzhu personally held shares in Zhuhai Yinlong New Energy (hereinafter referred to as "Yinlong"), he began to formally set foot in the car-making business. Yinlong gradually became a holding subsidiary of Gree Electric, renamed Gree Titanium New Energy, and deeply cultivated the business technology of new energy buses and lithium titanate batteries. However, in the eight years since it was acquired by Dong Mingzhu, Yinlong’s performance began to decline in 2017. As of June 30, 2024, the total debt of Gree Titanium New Energy was 24.786 billion yuan. Dong Mingzhu, who makes cars across the border, has been filling the "pit" of Gree Titanium. "The pit has a process of filling, which I think is very promising." Dong Mingzhu had previously said.

As early as 2013, Dong Mingzhu and Lei Jun gambled on their operating income ten years later. In 2019, Dong Mingzhu shouted to Lei Jun: "Don’t want 1 billion yuan, gamble for another five years": bet on who can make the world really fall in love with China manufacturing because of their products and technology; Second, bet on who can become the world leader in his own industry. In 2024, the five-year "new gambling game" between Lei Jun and Dong Mingzhu once again ushered in the acceptance moment.

"Building a car is a century-old track." Lei Jun, who started to build cars across the border three years ago, believes. For Dong Mingzhu, who also has her own topic, Gree’s car-making business failed to have the positive blessing of traffic like Xiaomi’s, but Miss Dong was unwilling to let go easily.

Eight-year "Car Bureau": Input, Loss and Acquisition

Dong Mingzhu and Lei Jun’s billion-dollar bet continued from air conditioning to building cars. Xiaomi, who has been building cars for three years, has become a dark horse in China auto market this year, while Gree, who has been working on the car-building track for eight years, has not yet entered the harvest period.

As early as 2016, Dong Mingzhu had the idea of building a car, only one year later than today’s star new car company Ideal and Weilai. At that time, Dong Mingzhu wanted to buy 100% equity of Zhuhai Yinlong New Energy with 13 billion yuan, but failed to pass the collegial meeting of shareholders on November 16th. In Miss Dong’s view, small and medium-sized shareholders are "shortsighted", and she firmly believes that "although we didn’t succeed in the acquisition, we must be a new energy vehicle."

Less than a month later, Dong Mingzhu still "put all your eggs in one basket" and took a stake in Yinlong with his personal assets. At the same time, she also brought Dalian Wanda, Jiangsu JD.COM Bangneng Investment Management Co., Ltd., () and other enterprises to jointly increase the capital of Yinlong by 3 billion yuan.

At that time, some new car-making enterprises in the new energy vehicle market began to emerge, and traditional car companies such as Geely, BAIC, Jianghuai and Changan were all testing new energy sources. Why does Dong Mingzhu prefer Yinlong, which was established only eight years ago?

Yinlong once made a difference in the new energy bus track. In 2016, Yinlong’s business was mainly the manufacture of new energy buses and lithium batteries. On the track of commercial vehicles, there is a blessing for the development prospect of new energy vehicles, and Dong Mingzhu is firmly optimistic about the future value of Yinlong. In the next two years, Yinlong proved Dong Mingzhu’s vision with sales. In 2017, Yinlong New Energy Bus ranked fourth in the country with an annual sales volume of 6,626 vehicles; In 2018, its sales volume increased to 7,278 vehicles, second only to Yutong and (), ranking third.

But the blow followed. In January 2018, Yinlong was repeatedly exposed to arrears in supplier payment, and there was a problem in the capital chain. By November 2018, Yinlong exposed its "dirty laundry" and publicly disclosed that its major shareholder Yinlong Group, actual controller Wei Yincang and former executive Sun Guohua were suspected of encroaching on the company’s interests by over 1 billion yuan. In 2019, the sales volume of Yinlong New Energy Bus declined in a cliff-like manner, with the annual sales volume of only 2,708 vehicles, down 62.76% year-on-year. The following year, Yinlong began to lose money continuously, and even began to be auctioned by Zhuhai Intermediate People’s Court. By the end of 2020, Yinlong’s liabilities had exceeded 22.5 billion yuan.

Although "Yinlong became a hole", Dong Mingzhu still insisted on buying Yinlong. In August, 2021, Gree acquired 30.47% equity of Yinlong New Energy for 1.83 billion yuan through public bidding through judicial auction. In addition, 17.46% equity previously held by Dong Mingzhu was entrusted to Gree, and Yinlong officially became a holding subsidiary of Gree Electric, and was later renamed Gree Titanium New Energy (hereinafter referred to as "Gree Titanium").

Gree’s blood transfusion also failed to rejuvenate the sales of Gree Titanium. In 2022, Gree Titanium sold 1,789 buses, down 11.65% year-on-year. In the same year, the sales of new energy buses in (), Suzhou Jinlong and () ranked in the top three with 11,515, 5,306 and 5,032 respectively.

Dong Mingzhu said in March 2024 that she believed Gree Titanium New Energy could turn losses into profits that year. According to Gree’s mid-year report in 2024, as of June 30, 2024, Gree Titanium New Energy had a total debt of 24.786 billion yuan and a net loss of 1.905 billion yuan. However, according to Gree Electric’s financial report, the net profit of home appliance business can still cover the loss of car-making business, but the commercial vehicle track, lithium titanate battery and hydrogen fuel power battery technology bet by Gree Titanium have not yet entered the harvest period.

For entering the field of new energy vehicles, Dong Mingzhu has publicly stated that he has no regrets. The newly established Shanghai Gree Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. once again confirmed Dong Mingzhu’s determination.

"The pit has a process of filling up, and the dawn is ahead."

The road of building cars is a new way out for Gree by Dong Mingzhu. Gree has been seeking diversified development since 2012, which is also a strategy that Dong Mingzhu vigorously promoted when he took over Gree.

She is keenly aware that the era of high growth of household air conditioners is gradually coming to an end. According to the data, from 2010 to 2015, the year-on-year growth rate of Gree’s operating income gradually declined. Dong Mingzhu’s task is to lead Gree to find a new growth curve. To this end, she has tried mobile phones, small household appliances, new energy, medical care and even prepared vegetable tracks.

Dong Mingzhu started with car air conditioning business. After personally taking a stake in Yinlong, Dong Mingzhu said that Gree Electric had been studying automobile air conditioning three or four years ago and had fully mastered the technology of this product. In 2017-2018, Yinlong, which was in full swing, made Dong Mingzhu see the hope of Gree’s transformation, and also planned to enter the new energy car track vigorously in the future.

Dong Mingzhu attaches great importance to the layout of battery business. Except for the new energy bus business, Gree Titanium has always chosen lithium titanate as its own technical route. In the field of new energy vehicles, lithium carbonate and its derivative battery products, Ferrous lithium phosphate and ternary lithium battery, are widely used at present. Dong Mingzhu’s "safer" lithium titanate battery has low energy density, so its application space in domestic transportation field is relatively small. "We chose this project not to make money, but to do it because of future development needs." Dong Mingzhu has publicly stated.

However, Gree Titanium, which insists on the lithium titanate battery track, also shows signs of compromising to the market. Enterprise investigation shows that Gree Titanium is laying out lithium iron phosphate batteries. On June 11th, 2024, Gree Titanium applied for a patent named "Lithium iron phosphate battery and its preparation method". Although Gree Titanium, which went out to sea in the past two years, has gained a small number of foreign orders for energy storage business and new energy buses, its technical investment has not been realized enough.

In the upstream and downstream of the car-making industry, Gree also intends to lay out. In 2022, Gree Electric invested RMB 3 billion to hold () 410 million shares, accounting for 38.78% of the company’s total share capital after issuance. The latter is a leading enterprise in the refrigeration component industry, and the company’s main business is divided into two parts: refrigeration parts business and refrigeration equipment business, and thermal management business of new energy vehicles. In the field of auto parts, the main business of Gree Intelligent Equipment established in 2015 is to provide GA-GF2755 CNC machine tools for high-speed and high-precision machining of new energy auto parts. Gree Intelligent Equipment is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gree Electric, which once provided support for Tesla parts manufacturing.

Li Bin, CEO of Weilai, said "Don’t build a car without 20 billion yuan", which is also applicable here in Dong Mingzhu. Judging from Dong Mingzhu’s car-making actions, it is still the main means to make a car with the revenue of the parent company as the guarantee, and vigorously purchasing and widely distributing it. However, the most fundamental purpose of building a car is to sell cars. Without new business income, Gree Titanium has also become the only loss source of Gree Group, and surviving is the top priority.

In terms of financing, Gree Titanium has no other sources of funds except the support of Gree Electric and Dong Mingzhu. According to the announcement, in December, 2023, Gree Electric announced that Gree Electric further increased its shareholding in Gree Titanium to 72.47%, and planned to wholly hold Gree Titanium in the future. Enterprise investigation shows that except for Gree’s increase in holdings, Gree Titanium has not gained any financing in the past five years.

It’s not too late for Dong Mingzhu to build a car, but when the industry took off, it failed to get dividends and gain market share. Instead, it gradually fell behind. "Gree Electric will not enter the field of new energy family cars for the time being." In February 2022, Dong Mingzhu said. The new energy bus track has never been the mainstream competition field of new energy. Limited by the demand for buses in the B-end market, it is unlikely that its market cake will become bigger. The report shows that the domestic new energy bus sales market will be around 40 billion yuan in 2022, and it is estimated that the market size will be 47 billion yuan by 2028.

The new energy bus industry leader appears, and its market share is further concentrated. According to the data of China Bus Statistics Information Network, in the first half of 2023, Yutong Bus ranked first in China, accounting for nearly 15% of the sales volume, followed by Foton Ouhui, BYD and Jinlong Bus, all of which accounted for more than 10% of the sales market. This also means that in the new energy bus track, Gree Titanium, which has not successfully run out of results, is under great pressure.

Consistent with Dong Mingzhu, in order to find new growth points, many home appliance industries are aiming at new energy vehicles. Midea and Haier, which have not officially built cars, also have automobile business layouts. () Through its subsidiary Weiling Auto Parts Company, it has officially entered the field of new energy auto parts. Haier Group focuses on using its industrial Internet platform and smart home technology to cooperate with car companies.

There are also many home appliances that directly enter the car. As early as 2010, Huang Hongsheng, the "king of color TV", has begun to lay out new energy commercial vehicles and passenger cars. In September this year, Skyworth Automobile, founded by Huang Hongsheng, announced that it would launch a modified model of its medium-sized SUV and the first A-class compact crossover product in 2025. According to the official data of Skyworth Automobile, the total sales volume in 2023 was 18,630 vehicles, with an average monthly sales volume of about 1,500 vehicles, while the monthly sales volume of zero-running vehicles in the same period was about 12,000 vehicles. On September 17th, this year, Sharp presented a conceptual model "LDK+" of an electric vehicle (EV) in Tokyo, Japan, and said that Sharp will officially launch the pure electric vehicle business.

Compared with peers, there is a certain gap in the performance of Gree Titanium. However, Dong Mingzhu is still optimistic. At the Gree shareholders’ meeting in June 2023, "there is a process of filling the pit, which I think is very promising." Dong Mingzhu said, "The dawn (of Gree Titanium) is ahead."

The knockout round of cross-border car-building has already started. When will the stones invested by Dong Mingzhu stir up water?

China National Intellectual Property Administration Media Focus on Intellectual Property News: Weaving the Intellectual Property Protection Network of Tight Weaving Enterprises.

The Tenth Five-Year Plan for the Protection and Utilization of Intellectual Property Rights (hereinafter referred to as the Plan) adheres to the basic principle of strengthening protection, strengthens the whole chain protection of intellectual property rights, makes every effort to push intellectual property protection to a new level, and gives full play to the basic guarantee role of the intellectual property system in stimulating innovation. Enterprises are the "main force" of intellectual property creation and the "beneficiary" of intellectual property protection. Recently, our reporter walked into a number of enterprises, listened to enterprises talk about the "Planning", talked about real practical experience, and discussed the implementation points of the "Planning".

Source protection "building foundation"

Innovation and creation are the origin of intellectual property and the basis of intellectual property protection. It is an important task to strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights in an all-round way and promote the high-quality development of intellectual property rights by consolidating the source and highlighting the quality orientation of innovation and creation. The Plan proposes to strengthen the source protection of intellectual property rights, promote the high-quality creation of intellectual property rights, and strengthen the creation and reserve of independent intellectual property rights in key areas such as artificial intelligence, basic software and aerospace technology.

"The ability of independent innovation provides a source of living water for the high-quality creation of intellectual property rights. Innovation ability and innovation quality fundamentally determine the value of intellectual property, which is related to the quality and market value of intellectual property. Vigorously improving innovation ability is the basis for enterprises to implement intellectual property development strategies such as intellectual property protection. " Wang Junlei, chief expert of China Automotive Technology Research Center and deputy secretary-general of Intellectual Property Branch of China Automotive Engineering Society, told this reporter that in this regard, China Automotive Technology Research Center Co., Ltd. has a certain high-quality patent output every year, and maintains innovative vitality in the fields of intelligent networked vehicles, new energy vehicles and vehicle manufacturing.

Strictly controlling the application for registration of intellectual property rights, and encouraging the active application of intellectual property system to protect and innovate on the basis of quality and value orientation are another key to the "foundation" of high-quality development of intellectual property rights. The Plan also emphasizes the need to strengthen the quality supervision of intellectual property application registration.

"It can be intuitively felt that in recent years, the intellectual property management department has continuously increased the action of source protection, and strictly regulated the patent application, trademark registration and copyright registration behavior. Enterprises are both the main players and direct beneficiaries of strengthening source protection. " In Wang Junlei’s view, a severe crackdown on the application for registration of intellectual property rights, which is not based on protecting innovation, is not aimed at use and is not aimed at improving market competitiveness, will help to form a good atmosphere for innovation and creation, promote market players to optimize resource allocation, enhance the value of intellectual property rights from the source of innovation, and help enterprises gain more prominent market competitive advantages.

Solidly protect "fitness"

Intellectual property is the core competitiveness and important strategic resources of enterprises, which is connected with innovation at one end and market at the other. Innovative achievements are the "stepping stone" for enterprises to go to the market, and the intellectual property system can make innovative achievements better realize economic and social values. However, for some small and medium-sized enterprises, the dividend of intellectual property system has not been fully released, and intellectual property protection measures should be further strengthened.

Hunan Maixi Software Co., Ltd. is a start-up enterprise engaged in the research and software development of core algorithms of industrial CAE software, and has made a lot of industry-leading innovations in the basic algorithms such as mathematical calculation library and unit algorithm library. Its founder, Cui Xiangyang, told the reporter: "The company has been gradually recognized in the commercial market by virtue of its advantages in algorithm technology, but it is still weak in patent layout, trademark application, and subsequent protection and operation, resulting in the company’s lack of intellectual property weapons to effectively safeguard its competitive resources in the development process."

"The Plan deepens the deployment and implementation of the intellectual property strategy promotion project for small and medium-sized enterprises, encourages small and medium-sized enterprises to increase investment in intellectual property rights, and strives to improve the level of intellectual property protection, application and management of small and medium-sized enterprises, clarifying the direction and providing assistance for the intellectual property development of small and medium-sized enterprises, which greatly boosted our confidence." Cui Xiangyang said.

At the same time, the Plan emphasizes continuing to strengthen the judicial and administrative protection of intellectual property rights, carrying out the construction project of intellectual property protection institutions in depth, improving the service capacity of intellectual property protection institutions, building a number of intellectual property protection centers in advantageous industrial clusters, providing one-stop comprehensive intellectual property services integrating rapid review, rapid confirmation and rapid rights protection, strengthening the overall coordination of rights protection assistance, promoting the extension of the rights protection assistance system to the grassroots level, and realizing a nationwide network of rights protection assistance services. These deployments will provide more solid, fast, convenient and effective service guarantee for enterprise intellectual property protection, help enterprises to "strengthen their bodies" and win the market.

Overseas layout "adds color"

Intellectual property is just needed for innovation and development, and it is also the standard of international trade. More and more enterprises in China are changing from "going out" to "going in". While using intellectual property rights to form new advantages in international cooperation and competition, there is also more demand for overseas intellectual property rights protection and rights protection assistance.

"For a long time, Xiaomi Group has carried out extensive patent distribution around the world, and actively explored international cooperation networks such as patent prosecution highway and The Hague system to improve the distribution and protection efficiency of overseas intellectual property rights, which has achieved certain results. This is inseparable from the precise support of domestic policy measures. " Li Yanjun, director of patent management in the Legal Department of Xiaomi Group, said that in recent years, domestic intellectual property management departments have joined forces with all parties to accelerate the establishment and improvement of international intellectual property risk early warning and emergency response mechanisms, and constantly improve the overseas intellectual property information service capabilities, so that enterprises that "go global" will benefit greatly.

The Plan also further emphasizes strengthening international cooperation in intellectual property protection, strengthening business cooperation in intellectual property review, guiding innovative subjects to make rational use of the World Intellectual Property Organization’s global service system and other channels, improving the efficiency of overseas intellectual property distribution and protection, strengthening the construction of overseas intellectual property dispute response guidance system, and enhancing overseas intellectual property risk prevention capabilities. Taking advantage of the policy deployment and the implementation of measures, "China Creation" and "China Wisdom" will shine more brightly on the international stage. The AB surface behind the hot search from the bottom of the fat east is over-deified and different from the inside and outside.

Original title:"Bangsha" or "Bangsha"? AB surface behind the hot search from the bottom to the east

Recently, the "taste storm" of employees from Fat East has turned again.

Many experts and lawyers believe that Fat Donglai’s punishment for "dismissing employees" is too heavy and "unreasonable".

At the same time, some experts pointed out that the pressure exerted by consumers on enterprises is often passed on to workers.

Over the years, Fat Donglai has frequently rushed to hot search because of "pet customers", and has also been concerned by public opinion for many controversial topics such as "high price" and "excessive punishment for employees".

Today, let’s peel off the noise of traffic and look at the AB side from the fat east behind the hot search.

Pangdonglai employees did not clean chopsticks after tasting noodles, which caused doubts. Video screenshot

Grocery shop transformation large supermarket

Sales in the opening year was 500 million yuan.

Enterprise search App shows that Xuchang Pangdonglai Trading Group Co., Ltd., an affiliated company of Pangdonglai, was established in September 1997. Its legal representative is Yu Donglai, with a registered capital of 76 million RMB, and its business scope includes prepackaged foods and bulk food, special food sales and catering. Yu Donglai holds 52.11% of the shares and is the largest shareholder and actual controller.

Among the more than 10 companies that the company has invested abroad, 8 companies are still in existence, including Xuchang Pangdonglai Supermarket Co., Ltd., Xuchang Pangdonglai Pharmaceutical Chain Co., Ltd. and Xuchang Pangdonglai Angel City Film Co., Ltd., covering medicine, commerce, film and television, catering, jewelry and so on. The company also has 47 branches in Xuchang, but most of them have been cancelled.

Yu Donglai, the founder of Fat Donglai, was born in Xuchang rural area and dropped out of junior high school. In the days when the society was struggling for a living, he once sold peanuts, sold popsicles and worked as a temporary worker. In the spring of 1995, Yu Donglai borrowed 10,000 yuan from his brother, together with 60,000 yuan from four laid-off workers, to open a grocery store with an area of more than 40 square meters, which was the predecessor of Fat Donglai.

After many ups and downs, on New Year’s Day in 2002, the Pangdonglai Life Plaza, with a business area of 23,000 square meters, opened. The supermarket integrated shopping, leisure, catering and entertainment, and became the largest comprehensive supermarket in Xuchang at that time, with a sales volume of 500 million yuan that year.

Tengshi cars sold in China have entered Singapore! 1.6 million vehicles, five times more expensive than domestic ones ~

My goodness! Everyone knows that the price in Singapore is high, but who knew it was so high!

Tengshi D9 MPV, which has been sold explosively in China in the past two years, has finally entered Singapore, and its price in Singapore is 1.57 million RMB, five times that in China!

Xpeng Motors, a "Tesla killer" who is also a domestic car, sells for six times as much in Singapore as in China!

Why are domestic cars in Singapore priced so high? Today, know-it-all will talk to everyone ~

The number one MPV in domestic sales is D9.

The price in Singapore is as high as 1.57 million RMB.

Five times that of China!

Domestic cars are really expensive to sell in Singapore!

Today, on my way to work, the know-it-all actually saw the MPV that has been sold explosively in China in the past two years, and it is a great success.

In the first half of 2024, Tengshi D9 ranked first among MPV models in terms of sales volume with 52,990 vehicles.

In China, the low-priced version of D9 is about 320,000 RMB.

That know-it-all is a little curious. How much does this car cost in Singapore?

As the saying goes, if you don’t search, you don’t know. If you search, you will be shocked!

The price of D9 in Singapore is as high as about S $290,000 (about 1.57 million RMB), which is five times the domestic price!

Is it so easy for Singaporeans to make money?

The domestic price of the same MPV in Erffa is 900,000 RMB.

Singapore sells for 1.5 million RMB.

It is 70,000 RMB cheaper than Tengshi D9 at the new price.

Let’s take a look at Toyota Erffa, who is also a business MPV.

In China, the price is as high as 900 thousand RMB, and even many people think that this is collecting IQ tax!

So what’s the price of Erffa in Singapore?

Know-it-all checked, and the cheapest one only costs S $277,000 (about 1.5 million RMB), which is 600,000 RMB more expensive than that in China.

But compared with Tengshi D9′ s RMB 1.57 million, it is much cheaper!

Who would have thought that one day, the Buel law sold by domestic Tengshi D9 would cost 70,000 RMB?

"Tesla killer" Tucki G6

Singapore sells for 1.3 million RMB.

Only 200,000 RMB is sold in China.

In fact, domestic cars are really not cheap to sell in Singapore!

Macaroni Do you remember Xpeng Motors, who was called "Tesla Killer"?

Some time ago, it also entered the Singapore market, and the car leading the brand was the G6 coupe SUV!

Source: car home.

The price of G6 is as high as S $240,000 (about RMB 1.3 million), but the price of G6 in China is only RMB 200,000. It’s more than six times worse!

Singapore know-it-all

BYD ranks first in sales in Singapore.

12 times that of Tesla.

Believe it or not, the best-selling car in Singapore is actually a domestic BYD!

In February 2024, BYD sold 424 cars in Singapore, accounting for 17.6% of the total car sales!

In other words, one out of every six people who bought a car in Singapore in February bought BYD.

Toyota, which used to be the top seller, only sold 382 vehicles; Tesla only sold 33 cars, less than one twelfth of BYD’s.

You know, BYD’s sales share in China is only 17%. In this way, Singaporeans like BYD more than China people ~

Even netizens in Podao spoke online: There are more and more BYD on the road in Singapore, and Singaporeans prefer BYD when changing cars.

BYD’s car is RMB 850,000 plus.

It is six times that of BYD in China.

Having said that, I have to say BYD’s big hand.

In 2023, BYD opened two stores in Singapore, selling rice and cars at the same time, but it put out advertisements.

ATTO 3 model is very popular in Singapore, and this model corresponds to Yuan PLUS in the domestic market.

In view of Singapore’s control over traffic and vehicles, buying a car is not cheap at all.

BYD ATTO 3 sold for S $158,000-S $180,000 (about RMB 850,000-970,000) in Singapore.

Looking back at the price of China BYD PLUS, it is about 140,000-168,000 yuan. Buying BYD of the same grade in Singapore costs six times as much as that in China!

Singapore has a car license of 500,000 RMB.

Can buy 3 yuan PLUS in China

Why are cars so expensive in Singapore? Because "license plate" is expensive!

As the saying goes, "A house in Singapore is not a trench, but a car is a trench. "This is not for nothing. Not only is the car expensive, but even the prerequisite for buying a car: owning a car license is also outrageous.

If you want to buy a car in Singapore, you must first get a car ownership certificate (COE). This card only allows you to buy one car. If you want to buy a second car, you have to buy a new card, and the car license is only valid for 10 years. If it expires, it will be invalid!

What’s more, the price of a car license is not low.

The first round of public bidding for car license in December showed that the price of small and medium-sized car groups (Group A) meeting the needs of the public rose by S $4,111 to S $94,000 (about 500,000 RMB). You can buy 3 yuan PLUS cars in China!

With this card alone, Singapore’s income in 2023 was S $4.66 billion (about RMB 25 billion).

Singapore luxury car tax increases by 320%

Collect 14 billion car tax a year!

Plus 9% consumption tax (it will become 10% next year), hundreds of thousands of additional registration fees ARP, electronic road fees ERP, insurance road taxes, etc., it is not a small sum.

In particular, Singapore raised the luxury car tax rate in February last year, and all cars with a CIF value exceeding S $40,000 have to pay a higher additional registration fee. Among them, the additional registration fee will be raised from 220% to 320% for the part where the insurance premium exceeds S $80,000.

Taking gasoline, parking, road tax, electronic road toll (ERP), insurance and routine maintenance into consideration, the average annual expenditure is also $9,000.

In terms of car tax alone, Singapore will earn S $2.6 billion (about RMB 14 billion) in 2023!

In 2023 alone, Singapore earned S $7.26 billion (about RMB 39.1 billion) by car license+car tax, accounting for 7% of the government’s regular revenue.

Not to mention this year, according to the forecast of the Ministry of Finance of Singapore, in 2024, the car license can sell S $4.72 billion, and the car tax revenue is S $2.84 billion, totaling S $7.56 billion (about RMB 40.7 billion)!

Therefore, those who can afford imported cars and car licenses in Singapore are naturally rich ~

Since he is a rich man, he will be "slaughtered" severely. Car license+car tax +GST will eventually lead to the price of domestic cars in Singapore being several times that of domestic cars!

Know-it-all, as a local, is not surprising, but when domestic friends heard that Singapore’s RMB PLUS sold for 850,000 RMB, they were all dissuaded by this price. ……

What do the macaroni people think about this matter? Welcome everyone to leave a message in the comment area ~

Shocked! Liaoning first publicly confirmed the existence of economic data fraud.

Cctv newsOn January 17th, the Eighth Session of the 12th National People’s Congress of Liaoning Province opened in the People’s Hall of Liaoning Province. Chen Qiufa, deputy secretary of Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and governor, made a government work report on behalf of the provincial government. One of the highlights of the report is that it does not shy away from the problems and deviations that have appeared in the past. In his work report, Chen Qiufa confirmed for the first time that the cities and counties under the jurisdiction of Liaoning Province had the problem of financial data fraud from 2011 to 2014, and pointed out that from 2011 to 2014, "official figures and figures were official", which led to the economic data being injected with water.

one

△ data map

From 2011 to 2014, many economic data in Liaoning were falsified.

The report quoted a document from the National Audit Office in 2016: "There is widespread data fraud in the municipal and county finances under the jurisdiction of Liaoning Province, which has the characteristics of long duration, wide coverage and diverse means. From 2011 to 2014, the inflated amount and proportion showed an upward trend year by year. The reporter learned from relevant channels that the year with the highest inflated rate was 2014, and the inflated rate was as high as 23%.

The problem of financial data fraud not only affects the central government’s judgment and decision on the economic situation in Liaoning Province, but also affects the scale of the central government’s transfer payment to Liaoning Province, reducing the available financial resources and people’s livelihood security capabilities of the city and county governments. " In addition to financial data, other economic data are also untrue.

one

Economic data fraud, predecessor dug a big hole for his successor

In 2014, when the Central Leading Group for Inspection Work visited Liaoning in the first round, it seriously pointed out that "there is a widespread problem of economic data fraud in Liaoning Province". "You are welcome to say that in terms of economic data, the previous one dug a huge pit." The director of the research office of a prefecture-level city government in Liaoning said sadly, "And it owes a huge debt of nearly one trillion yuan. Now Liaoning is not building on the flat ground, but climbing at the bottom of the pit."

Since 2014, Liaoning’s economic data is very ugly. Regional GDP is negative growth, fiscal revenue has declined by double digits for a period of time, and investment in fixed assets has dropped by 60%-70%. In 2015, Liaoning’s fiscal revenue growth showed a double-digit decline. In this regard, researcher Liang Qidong, vice president of Liaoning Academy of Social Sciences, bluntly said that this cliff-like decline for a period of time is difficult to be explained by an economic model. Apart from the fact that the economy itself is really difficult, there is only one possibility, that is, the previous economic data is untrue and there is widespread fraud.

The New Liaoning Provincial Party Committee: Pursuing Real and Water-free Development

In this regard, Chen Qiufa, governor of Liaoning Province, explained in the government work report, "We have seriously squeezed water under the pressure of ugly face. In 2015, we consolidated financial receipts and worked hard to consolidate other economic data since 2016."

Li Xi, secretary of the provincial party committee, sternly warned the provincial party committee secretaries and the heads of major departments and bureaus for many times in the face of the falsification of data in Liaoning and the deceptive style of some cadres: whoever is in charge wants to make the local area develop faster and the data look better, which is a kind of responsibility. But we should pursue real development, development without water, and development with the unity of quality and benefit. "Never let flicker become a culture, let flicker have no market, and let flicker have no future!" .

one

The impact of economic data fraud goes far beyond the economic field.

The falsification of a local economic data first affects the judgment of the economic situation, the distribution of economic-related interests between the central and local governments, and the actual benefits of improving people’s livelihood.

However, the negative impact of economic data fraud goes far beyond the economic field. Once the data fraud of party and government cadres at certain levels in a place becomes a habit and pervades the wind, it is not only data fraud, but also fraud in other places and many places that need credibility. If everyone thinks that data fraud is a habit of turning a blind eye and I turn a blind eye, then the social style, folk customs and, more importantly, the party style and political style of this place will be distorted. Party and government cadres in this place will lose their morality and rules, and eventually the party Committee and government in this place will lose the trust of the people.

Solving data fraud: immediate pain and long-term benefits

In the past two years, Liaoning has been working hard to solve the problem of data fraud. In the past two years, the provincial party committee and government of Liaoning Province have been emphasizing the problem of solving data and squeezing water. In the process of picking this cancer, the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government endured great pain.

However, it hurts at the moment, but it is good in the long run. We have noticed that since 2015, Liaoning ranks last in the core data such as GDP in 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities across the country. Although the data for the whole year of 2016 has not yet come out completely, from the first three quarters, I am afraid that Liaoning is still in the last place. The growth rate ranks at the bottom of the country, and may even be negative. Under such circumstances, the local people are still trying to squeeze water and don’t look good for a while. This is a great determination and a lot of pain.

But the immediate pain is to correct the party style and political style. The immediate pain is not only to restore the economic data to reality, but more importantly, to restore the political ecology of this place to normal.

one

Curbing fraud depends on determination and more on effective mechanism

Liaoning has made a great determination to squeeze water, and it will be maintained for a long time. It depends not only on determination, but also on many effective mechanisms to pick up the cancer of this data fraud, squeeze out the water in the data, and correct the party style and political style. For example, economic data should be multi-path statistics; There should be not only horizontal teams, but also vertical management teams for statistical teams; It depends not only on the calculated figures on the books, but also on some scientific methods, including data that can be tracked in real time by the Internet system, more accurate data that is not easy to be faked, such as electricity consumption and freight volume, and it is necessary to formulate a stricter mechanism, so that those fake figures can’t go on in the mechanism system. Once any fake figure appears, it can be quickly discovered and can be seriously held accountable in front of an effective mechanism. Therefore, With sufficient determination, effective mechanism and long-term and overall efforts to correct the party style and political style, these "cancers" can be truly removed and the "flickering wind" that once existed in this land can be truly eradicated.

Is Seicho Matsumoto as outdated as newspapers?

Seicho Matsumoto (1909-1992), a japanese mystery family, is famous for her portrayal of "evil women", and The Woman Who Bought a Local Newspaper is also a woman’s crime story. When writing three volumes of Seicho Matsumoto’s Short Stories, Miyuki Miyabe, who is also a representative of social school reasoning, classified this article as "my favorite", probably because he is a writer’s preference for the story of "the writer plays the detective".

Saya Longzhi, a writer, serialized The Legend of the Wild Thief in a local newspaper. She was very happy to learn from the newspaper that a female reader in Tokyo specially subscribed to this newspaper with a very small circulation in order to read her own novel. Soon after, I received a letter that "the novel has become unsightly and I want to unsubscribe", and I feel a little strange. This woman must want to get something else from the newspaper … Starting from this, she started some reasoning.

In the latest Japanese drama SP "The Woman Who Bought the Local Newspaper", the writer detective is played by Tamura Masakazu. The woman who claimed that "I want to subscribe to this local newspaper because I like the writer’s serial novels" is Ryoko Hirosue. Tamura Masakazu and Ryoko Hirosue (Stubborn Daddy (2000) and Father (2002)), who played the role of father and daughter twice more than a decade ago, have turned into an ambiguous relationship between imaginative writers and enigmatic readers.

Speaking, the origin of reasoning is the writer’s unwarranted confidence (how can my novel be unsubscribed if it is so beautiful! ), Orwell in Why Do I Write? The reason given in is "pure conceit"-some writers desperately want to hide it, but most people write because they want to be regarded as smart people and better be praised by later generations. Fortunately, this time, compared with the narrow-minded image of the writer in the 2007 TV series, Tamura Masakazu is obviously much wiser and cuter, with the elegance and pride of Shirzaburo. Ryoko Hirosue, who just helped Yuki Uchida kill her husband in Naomi and Kanako, once again appeared as a "wicked girl".

Plus the original writer’s assistant Mizukawa Asami in this remake, Watanabe Mayu, a guest geisha, and many other roles, Seicho Matsumoto SP drama is indeed more luxurious than the afternoon reasoning theater for middle-aged and elderly people.

Apart from the charm of the character itself, the charm of the story "The Woman Who Bought the Local Newspaper" originally came from the theme of "newspaper". Women worry about the news of "accident" by subscribing to newspapers, and writers speculate on women’s motives by unsubscribing letters. The connection maintained through paper reveals a kind of showiness, and if there is a blank space, it will give people room for reverie.

However, if the background of the times is moved to the present, the blank space will have to be filled. The development of clues in the story seems too far-fetched: in this age, you have to order newspapers to check the news, but you can’t check it on the Internet or on your mobile phone? Is it necessary to write "because I like reading your novels" when subscribing to newspapers? Isn’t it an invasion of privacy for newspapers to disclose the personal information of subscribers to writers?

Regarding whether newspaper subscription is an obvious bug, I specially asked my Japanese friends, and the answer is: local newspapers with a very small circulation will publish weddings, funerals and weddings as news, not necessarily online. But you can always find it in the library database, right? The accident that female readers care about has also held a press conference, and there is no reason why it can’t be found online. Japanese friends also agreed. So we come to a conclusion that we don’t want to admit, Seicho Matsumoto’s works, which have been remake and adapted countless times in the past 60 years, may be out of date.

From 1957 to now, this is the ninth time that The Woman Who Bought the Local Newspaper has been made into a TV series, plus a movie. I’m afraid it will be more and more difficult for the audience in the future to understand the unique romance of "newspaper", and it’s also difficult to understand the imagination of Seicho Matsumoto, a writer who is often serialized in newspapers, behind the seemingly serious type.

If a "woman" conceals the crime as a double suicide and then checks the news through the Internet, even if she subscribes to the newspaper, if the newspaper does not disclose her information to the writer, things will not be revealed. In the era we live in, cases are more likely to be detected through phone records, surveillance videos and DNA. Accurate and boring.

Today, the image of "evil girl" still dominates the Japanese screen and occupies half of the mystery novels. Even if the background of Qing Zhang’s story is gone, the tradition of evil girl still exists.

Some people say that the theme of evil women reflects the author’s inner disgust and suspicion of women, but on the other hand, it may be seen that men are more attracted to the image of evil women than pure ladies. Beautiful women meet people who are unlucky, and do not hesitate to kill them in order to change their miserable situation … Whether it is Seicho Matsumoto’s Black Handbook, House of Beasts or Keigo Higashino’s The Relief of the Saint, such a routine seems to be inexhaustible for a long time.

Perhaps the social school’s point of view is not in reasoning. Even if the reasoning is weak and the clues are far-fetched, Tamura Masakazu’s Showa amorous feelings drama makes this work still worth seeing. Nowadays, newspapers are dying. Even if The Woman Who Bought the Local Newspaper is remake in the background of Seicho Matsumoto’s era, it is difficult for young people who keep their mobile phones to understand the interest.
